We are thrilled to announce that the second season of Write/LA is open for entries. The early deadline is on 6/5, the regular deadline is 6/25, and the final deadline is 7/15. Write/LA accepts both feature and original pilot scripts.
Write/LA is an annual screenwriting competition co-run by LA Screenwriter and LiveRead/LA. We had our first season last year, and it was an amazing success. Take a look at what we did.
What Makes Write/LA Worth Entering?
Write/LA is a competition created by writers, for writers. We created the contest that we would want to win.
Three grand prize winners get flown to LA, put up in a hotel, participate in a two-day private screenwriting workshop focused on craft and career, and then have their work celebrated at an invite-only live read event.
We’re not about making empty promises or offering “guarantees,” because we’ve been in this business long enough to know that guarantees don’t exist. Instead, we’re offering knowledge, exposure, and some awesome celebration of all you’ve accomplished thus far as a writer.
We also strive to create a deep prize package that offers real value to entrants well beyond the top three. More on that below…
